dok.elevator partnership is a project of bilateral cooperation between dok.incubator and six Norwegian regional film centres, connecting the two European film industry regions, which rarely collaborate. Its aim is to present dok.incubator, an international documentary rough cut workshop based in the Czech Republic, to the Norwegian film industry. In addition, by introducing the participating filmmakers from Norway and the Czech Republic to the biggest central European film market East Doc Platform, we build a new bridge between these regions and support the development of the local film industries.
1) Presentation of dok.incubator activities to Norwegian film professionals / Dokumentarkonventet in Bergen (December 2-4, 2019)
The Norwegian Documentary Symposium (Dokumentarkonventet) is an important national industry event for Norwegian documentary professionals. Since its start in 2010 the symposium has been fully booked and it is attended by producers, directors and others from the documentary film industry, in addition to institutions like The Norwegian film institute, regional film centres and funds, The Freedom of Expression Foundation and Norwegian TV-channels. The symposium aims to be a different event than the busy festivals, markets and premieres, an arena for quality debates and keynote speeches from national and international experts, and previews of upcoming projects, as well as an arena where the documentary community can discuss their challenges and find solutions together.
Norwegian producers can schedule a meeting with Tomáš Potočný, dok.incubator programme manager: https://dokumentarkonventet.no/moter/moter-veiledning
