Jakub graduated from the Film and Television faculty of the Academy of Dramatic and Performing Arts in Bratislava as a film editor (master's degree), studied one year of film directing at RITS Erasmus Hogeschool in the Erasmus program in Belgium. He is focused on editing documentaries, working mostly in Brno, Prague and Bratislava. In recent years, he is directing his own short documentaries focused on the history and cohabitation of the Roma population with the majority in Czech and Slovak society.
