Gudmundur started Fuglene together with director/producer Kari Anne Moe. He has also since 2001 run the postproduction company Bonanza Post Production based in Oslo, Norway and specializes in documentary films. He studied sound design for film at the Nordic institute for scene and studio in Oslo from 1998-2001 and has since been working in almost every role in film and TV production and as a visual artist. As a producer he has made commercials, films for museums, and documentary films.
