Matěj is an emerging film producer and founder of Breathless Films. He produced various short films. The short film “Sugar and Salt” premiered at SSIFF in 2018 and won multiple awards at various film festivals. Recently he finished a short film “Anatomy of a Czech Afternoon“ which was selected as one of the Top 10 Student Films from Europe for Future Frames organized by EFP presented at KVIFF and won the Best Short Film Award at the Czech Film Critics' Awards and two Czech Lions for the Best Short Film and for the Best Student Film. Currently he‘s developing two feature length documentary projects called “Long Journey Home” and "Such a Strange Winter" and two feature length fiction movies “Pig Slaughter”' and “We're not doing fine”.
