Michael studied Film Theory and History at Masaryk University in Brno, then Film Production at the Production department of FAMU from which he subsequently transferred to the Department of Documentary Filmmaking where he is currently in his first year of masters studies. He participated as a script editor on a short animated documentary "S P A C E S" (2020) by Nora Štrbová which premiered at Vision du Réel, screened at the prestigious IDFA, Ji.hlava IDFF and many others. In his own work he focuses on auteur documentaries. His latest auteur film SHIT FACE was shown at IDFF Ji.hlava in 2021 and his last film Searching For Jan Skácel which he co-directed with Kateřina Dudová was shown at IDFF Ji.hlava in 2022.
