Vít graduated from his master's studies in history in 2011, and in 2013, he completed his master's studies in screenwriting and script editing at the Czech film school FAMU. Additionally, he spent half a year studying screenwriting at the Flemish film school RITS in Brussels. In 2013, he worked as an assistant director on a social-theatre project, KunstZ, in Antwerp, Belgium. He has extensive experience as a freelance screenwriter, having worked on films such as Journey to Rome (2015) and as a script editor on Zátopek (2021) and The Word (2022). In 2020, he made his directorial debut with the short film Divine Sparks, a Czech-Belgian co-production. Between 2018-2021, he served as a house dramaturge for the Czech public broadcaster Česká televize, working on documentary film productions. He received the Czech-German Journalist Award for his work on the documentary Odsun – die Vertreibung (2020). Vít is also one of the three founders of m3 films, and The Other One marks his debut as a producer.
