Oliver, born in Aachen, Germany, studied at the Art Academy Münster (Germany), the Academy of Applied Art Vienna (Austria) and the KHM Cologne. He directed 12 short films which have been screened in over 80 festivals like AFI Los Angeles or the Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen. They won 17 international awards. Since 1993 he has worked as an editor on feature and documentary films. "Pop - Village with Festival'' was nominated for the German Documentary Award 2020. Between 2015-2022 he was a professor of Postproduction at the Macromedia University, Cologne.
