Behind the counter of a grocery store and mother of three daughters, she has been carrying a lifelong responsibility while enduring a violent marriage.
Agnieszka is at a crossroads now: should she hold on to a marriage that is breaking her down, or step into the unknown toward a new life for herself and her daughters?
The family’s everyday life becomes a journey into intimate spaces, where painful silences are broken, long-buried truths turning into voices. Over five years, the film captures a rare portrait of five women – mother, daughters, and grandmother, confronting trauma and reclaiming the right to happiness together.

A pale veil, like a shroud, drapes the glacier’s skin. Ancestral voices howl a warning through the walls of an abandoned Icelandic farmhouse. A requiem for devotion, for memory, for a vanishing world.
More than a century ago, Flosi Björnsson and his eight siblings isolated themselves at the foot of Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest glacier. None of them ever married or had children. They devoted their lives to the glacier long before anyone spoke of its melting.
Like a whale skeleton on the shore, their farm has remained sealed until now. Photographer Ragnar Axelsson returns to the place where he spent his childhood summers. As he opens the farm’s doors, Flosi’s voice resounds once again, invisibly calling other pilgrims who come to the glacier. Its cracking composes a requiem. A vast white sheet drapes the glacier’s skin, like a shroud over the body of a dying son.

They learn to pay taxes, do bookkeeping, but still rely on the criminal methods from their past. Victor is serious and disciplined. He wanted to be a general in the army, but a military trial ruined his career. Jan is the opposite, wild and fun-loving, into motorbikes and vinyl records, but also a caring father trying to protect his young son from his dark past.
