Hana Nováková studied documentary film at The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) and Indian languages at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. She holds a PhD. in Ethnozoology. During her studies, she completed numerous internships abroad as well as etnozoological research, which often was also the source of her film topics. As a filmmaker she has previously worked for the Czech Television and Academy of Sciences.
