Martin Páv graduated from FAMU’s Department of Fiction Directing and is pursuing a PhD at Metropolitan University Prague, researching postcolonial identity in informal settlements of the Global South. He also works on research projects studying the societal impacts of the climate crisis.
Páv has directed three award-winning documentaries. His debut, Vote for Kibera (2018), won the Audience Award at Ji.hlava IDFF. Wolves at the Borders (2020) earned multiple awards, including the Anthropological and Environmental Approach Award at the Jean Rouch Festival. His latest film, Dajori, about a Romani family in Northern Bohemia, premiered at Ji.hlava IDFF, winning the Audience Award and Award for Original Approach.
