Ulrik Gutkin has studied Film, TV and Media science at the University of Copenhagen, Further, he has participated in continuing professional development courses at the National Film School of Denmark and the Danish School of Media and Journalism. Ulrik has worked at DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation) for fifteen years. He is now a partner and managing director of Copenhagen Film Company Short and Doc. Having worked for a number of years as an editor and director, he began working as a producer. He is a graduated producer at EAVE Producers Workshop from year 2014. Ulrik has produced films for the Danish as well as the international market. The Fight for Greenland were the opening film at CPH:DOX, 2020, winner at Nordische Tage Leipzig and broadcast throughout the world. It Takes a Family (2020) premiered at Leipzig Doc. in the main competition and was nominated for the Best Nordic Documentary Award at the Goteborg International Film Festival 2020. Shown on more than 80 festivals around the globe. He co-produced How to kill a Cloud, winner at Semaine de la Critique at Locarno and shown at by others Vice besides broadcasters around the world ( A doc-incubator project). There will be Water, were shown in more than 90 countries through BBC World as well as National Geo. US.
