Michaela Kaliská was born in Bratislava. She finished her MA studies in Production and distribution at the Film and TV Faculty of Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. She worked on several student films, TV spots and video clips. She spent one semester at FAMU as an Erasmus student. She has worked as a PR assistant in Nová Cvernovka and office manager for Slovak production company MPhilms. Apart from films she is also working as a head of production for experimental music festival NEXT in Bratislava. Afterwards she established with director Martina Buchelová their own production company called NINJA film. Currently she is working on her debut feature Lover, not a fighter and documentary All good everywhere.
