Soňa G. Lutherová is a visual anthropologist, documentary filmmaker, and author. She started working in the field of visual anthropology during her MA studies at the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at Comenius University in Bratislava. She has also attended a Summer University course in documentary filmmaking at the CEU in Budapest under the tutorship of Michael Yorke. Today, she works as a researcher and visual anthropologist at the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
