After graduating from Screen Academy Scotland with a BA in film in 2004, Nick initially went on to win short film commissions as a director, including for BBC and the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, before moving into editing. He subsequently formed a close working relationship with Spanish director Chico Pereira and has gone on to edit several short and feature documentaries with Chico, including the multi-award winning Pablo’s Winter (for which he received a BAFTA nomination for best editor) and Donkeyote. He also edited for 18 months on Ilya Khrzhanovsky's epic DAU project, and his latest feature documentary collaboration with UK director Alex Nevill, Ferroequinology, has just premiered internationally at Slamdance 2022.
