Noémi is a freelance producer and director, the co-founder of Match Frame Productions, an independent film production company based in Budapest. She studied International Relations in Budapest and Germany. She started film studies on a scholarship at Beijing Film Academy. After leaving China, she graduated from the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest with a masters in documentary directing. Noemi is a Sundance Documentary Film Program Grantee 2015 (Afterglow), 2019 (Her Mothers) and 2021 (Agent of Happiness). Her first feature documentary as a co-producer, Her Mothers (dir: Asia Dér, Sári Haragonics) premiered at Hot Docs 2020 and won several awards worldwide. Currently she is producing four feature documentaries and one VR piece. She commutes between Budapest and New York, working on her films. Her first feature film as a director, Six Weeks, premiered at Sarajevo Film Festival 2022 and won many awards since. Noémi was a Berlinale Talent 2023.
