Pierpaolo Filomeno is an Italian film editor, based in Brussels. He graduated at ZeLIG - School for films, editing the award winning documentary Vergot by Cecilia Bozza Wolf (premiered at Festival dei Popoli 2016). He worked with Marie-Hélène Dozo as assistant film editor and editor on feature and documentary films, including What You Gonna Do When The World Is On Fire? by Roberto Minervini (Mostra del Cinema di Venezia 2018), God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunija by Teona Strugar Mitevska (Berlinale 2019). Among the others, he edited the documentaries No Kings by Emilia Mello (CPH DOX 2020, True/False 2021) and Love is not an orange by Otilia Babara (DOK Leipzig 2022). Both films were invited at the exclusive New York MoMA's “Doc Fortnight”, in 2022 and 2023. In 2017 he was awarded for the Best Editing of the year by the Italian Academy of Documentary (Doc/it Awards), with the film Vergot. Since 2021 he hosts together with Beppe Leonetti and Gabriele Borghi Montatori Anonimi, a podcast about film editing.
