Iryna Tsilyk graduated from Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinematography and Television in TV directing in 2005. Her previous short films were presented at various international film festivals, including ‘Commemoration’ which premiered at Berlinale in 2012, and won the Prize of Ecumenical Jury in national competition at Molodist IFF, as well as award for the best short fiction film at Kinolitopys IFF (Ukraine), and diploma of the “Andrey and Arseniy Tarkovsky Award”. The other short film ‘Home’ premiered at Odessa IFF and was awarded FIPRESCI Prize. In addition, Iryna Tsilyk has been working as a writer. Some of her works have been translated into various languages and presented at different international literary festivals.
