Set in a sanctuary for abused and handicapped “farm” animals in a small village in eastern Slovakia, documentary explores, through the eyes of young mother Blanka, teenagers Kubo and Ema, and rescued animals, the interwoven themes of environmental consciousness, social marginalisation, and resistance, shown through the act of caring. Although these young people have to deal with a lack of understanding and financing, they have each other and create a sanctuary not only for animals but also for people.
