Marta escapes her violent partner and, with her daughters Agáta and Mína, finds temporary refuge with her father, a reclusive survivalist nicknamed Old Man. Living alone in the woods, he is convinced the world is nearing its end, seeing signs in the polluted river and the growing number of wild boars. As Marta tries to recover from years of abuse, she and the girls adapt to his strict survival routine and slowly rebuild the bond once lost between father and daughter. When her ex-partner Milan appears to take the children back, tension erupts. His visit triggers events that climax when the girls disappear in the forest.
