Four years after the Revolution of Dignity, 16-year-old Serhii continues the fight for justice on a local level. In his village of Hatne near Kyiv, developers seize his favorite lake and build housing without sewage, turning the ravine into a stinking pond — a symbol of dirty money and impunity. Serhii refuses to stay silent. On Facebook, he exposes a deputy vacationing in the Maldives on a modest salary. At the council meeting, the “local boss” grabs him by the neck and threatens him, but Serhii replies calmly: Ukraine still has freedom of speech. When another member shouts “Shut the fuck up!”, Serhii answers: “I’m going to run for office.” His story is David vs. Goliath — and a portrait of a country coming of age, confronting corruption, Russian aggression, and its own conservatism, while Serhii fights for justice, dignity, and the right to be himself.
