Monika (35), a successful doctor at the Liberec hospital, lives in a stable relationship with Lukáš. They are expecting a child she has long wished for. Years ago, she separated from her ex-husband Petr, who was unable to have children—a fact that played a crucial role in their breakup. Now their paths cross again. The emotional bond between them never fully disappeared, even though it belongs to the past and Monika understands the value of the life she has now. The film avoids dramatic twists and instead offers a layered reflection on female identity and its wholeness—emotionally and socially—where the desire for motherhood meets the demands of professional existence.
