Anna Kis (1969) is a Hungarian documentary filmmaker and editor with a background in linguistics and literature. After completing her PhD studies in Renaissance and Baroque English Literature, she transitioned to filmmaking, graduating as a director and editor from the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest. Anna has directed and edited numerous documentaries, short films, and television productions, with a strong focus on observational storytelling and human-centered narratives. Her films explore themes of identity, social issues, and historical memory. As an experienced editor, she has collaborated on award-winning feature documentaries, shaping raw footage into compelling cinematic stories. For 80 Angry Journalists, Anna serves as both co-director and editor, bringing her expertise in creative documentary filmmaking to refine the narrative and structure. Her collaboration helps balance the film’s investigative depth with a human-centered approach.
