Efthymia Zymvragaki works as cinematographer, producer, now 1st time director. Attracted by social and gender issues, explores personal and sensitive approaches for complex and lesser known realities. After graduating in Psychology from the University of Crete, Greece in 2001, studied photography at the Institut “d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya” in Barcelona, Spain (2003-2005) and finally completed a Master in Artistic Production and Research at the University of Barcelona (2011-2012). Her film career began during her Master’s degree by means of artistic productions and by collaborating with Angelo Orlando for the production company “Gris Medio” from 2014 to the date. She had been teaching photography at the film school “Nou Prodigi” between 2010 and 2015. She is an alumni of the IDFA Academy, CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator, Acció Producció - Dones Visuals, LIM Development Angels.
