Jan graduated from Masaryk University in Brno with a degree in Film Studies. As a production assistant, he cooperated with Czech Television, Nova Television (Masterchef) and on feature films I, Olga Hepnarová. He started to work for independent production company GNOMON as a PR manager of documentary film Accept (2016), while he also gained experience as a programmer at the Mezipatra queer film festival (2016 - 2019) and cooperated with other festivals (Ghettofest, Cinema Mundi, One World). Currently, he works as a producer at Media Voice (How I Became a Partisan) and GNOMON Production (Dunaj of Consciousness, Healing me, Who Owns the City). Regularly, he also contributes to Cinepur magazine and Czech Radio Vltava.
