László Józsa studied Communications, Political Science and Anglo-Saxon Culture. He worked at Café Film as an advertising agency producer on commercials, TV productions and short films for a decade, before shifting his focus towards documentaries at his own company - Speakeasy project. He has developed a documentary series on the new European mobility titled Leave/Stay. Laszlo is also involved in filming social projects, works with a number of NGOs, commercial clients, recently with fiction projects as well. His first feature-length documentary as a producer ULTRA was co-produced by HBO Europe and was in the selection for the best documentaries for the EFA in 2017. Laszlo’s second feature length doc, Ghetto Balboa won the Hungarian Film Award for best documentary in 2019. In 2021 Laszlo and SpeakEasy got involved in their biggest project to date. Laszlo produced over sixty museum installations – including short documentaries, interactive animations, hologram screenings and a unique 360° film – for the Hungarian House of Music, magyarzenehaza.com. Laszlo is one of the founders and was the first president of MADOKE – Hungarian Documentary Association. He is a member of the European Film Academy and the Hungarian Film Academy.
