After graduating with a Visual Communication degree from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Maria completed the Master of Film and Media at the University of Copenhagen. She spent six years at 'The Why Foundation' as the producer of 'Why Stories'—a series of social documentaries broadcasted in over 100 countries through outlets such as BBC World News and various public broadcasters. Concurrently, she collaborated on other film productions with companies like 'Guldbrandsen Film,' 'Wingman Media,' and 'Boogaloo Films,' and served as the acquisitions manager for Nick Fraser's documentary platform 'Docsville.'
In addition, Maria has held the position of Head of Production for advertisement projects in Spain and Scandinavia through the production service company NEEDaFIXER.
Currently, she is working as a Film Executive Producer and Production Coordinator for the production company Nanouk Films.
