Matti has worked as an editor since 2008. He has edited several feature-length documentaries as well as fiction films, docuseries, and short-form content. His films have been selected for festivals including IDFA, CPH DOX, Hot Docs, and DocPoint. Matti has been nominated for Best Editing at the Norwegian, Finnish, and Estonian film awards, and he won the Golden Panda Award for "Best Editing in a Documentary". Matti has attended the Doc.Incubator workshop as an observer, trailer editor, participant, and now as a tutor. In 2021, Matti founded the film editing company called Smooth Cut Oy.
