Širín is a young Czech-Iranian film director. In 2022 she graduated in Documentary Filmmaking from FAMU. During her studies at high school, she won the My Street Films Award for her short film "Black Bridge" (2017). Her documentary short "Woman is a neck" (2019) won the Aramisova Award for the Best Short Film of the 1st year at the film festival FAMUFEST. She currently studies at the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at Charles University. In her work, she constantly deals with the themes regarding the Middle East, multiculturalism and racism.
